Mt Worth State Park is close to Warragul and an easy day’s outing from Melbourne.  It features giant Mountain Ash forest and flourishing fern gullies, now rare in the western Strzelecki Ranges, which were cleared early last century.

The Moonlight Creek Picnic Area is a lush green clearing with fireplaces, picnic tables, an information shelter and toilets. It is a favourite spot for enjoying a peaceful break and a pleasant walk.

Feel free to browse around this site. Go to the “News” page to see the latest activities at the Park. If you have comments or questions about our group, or simply need more information and want to contact us, click on the contact button on any page within this site...

Dogs, cats, horses, trail bikes and firearms are not permitted in the park.

There is also no campground, but camping without facilities is available outside the park at Tarwin River Reserve, 3 km south of the picnic area.
