Dawn over Mt Worth 29th of June, could be the sort of thing you could enjoy at the Friends Annual Lyrebird count coming up. We will start at the Moonlight Creek Picnic area at 6.45 and then survey Lyrebird calls as dawn rises. Bring very warm gear, a torch and a compass (if you have one). Using a “triangulation” technique we are able to identify individual birds to compare with numbers in previous years. We recorded a small increase between our first count in 2017 and the second in 2018, and hope that we will get a similar result this year. Contact us through the “contact” page on our website or message through Facebook if you would like to join us.
