“A super challenging but really well organised trail run in a magnificent forest park.”
“Boutique event, local community group working for the good of the park and introducing others to the park and the area. A safe well organised event”
“The most organised and prepared trail run I’ve ever done.”
“As a must do event. Although as mentioned by someone that it would be a good entry level for trail running, I would disagree. The steepness of the hills wasn’t entry level.”

The next event celebrating the 40th anniversary of our Park is on Sunday July 1st – “Breakfast with the Birds” is a lyrebird count at dawn. You’ll need to be at the Moonlight Creek Picnic Area by 6.45!!
The cold is bracing but the special atmospherics in the bush at dawn is a delightful experience.
Those who join us will be divided into teams to set up at one of a number of points around the main picnic area to locate calls from Lyrebirds – later compiled to identify the number of unique birds.
The count will be followed by a BBQ breakfast as the sun comes up over the ridges. Limited numbers so bookings at firstname.lastname@example.org are essential. A $5 donation to cover costs will be charged on the day.
If there is heavy rain the event will be cancelled.
Register with email@example.com
Mr Barista will be there on July 22 with coffee, hot chocolate and other nice things to warm and refresh!!!
It was a wet day, after months of dry, but over 50 people enjoyed the trails less travelled as guests of the Strzelecki Bush Walking Club and the Friends. We found some rare Slender Tree Ferns and at least one person heard a Giant Gippsland Earthworm (probably) – and in a new spot which will be investigated further…
A warming cup of tea was much appreciated when we got to the top, and the cloud broke just a little…
